2 Key Celtics Players Sidelined for Monday vs Hornets

Monday night’s game against the Charlotte Hornets will see the Boston Celtics without Al Horford and Derrick White, the team announced.

White, who missed two games in early November due to personal reasons, will be absent again. Although the exact return date is uncertain, there’s a chance he might play on Wednesday against the Bucks.

Al Horford, on the other hand, won’t be playing against the Hornets as he’s taking a rest. This absence opens up opportunities for players like Sam Hauser, Payton Pritchard, Oshae Brissett, and Luke Kornet to take on more significant roles.

White has played in 11 games this season and is putting up notable averages of 13.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game with impressive shooting percentages. Meanwhile, Horford, in 12 games, maintains averages of 6.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists.

The Celtics, with their impressive 11-2 record, currently hold the top seed in the Eastern Conference. Riding a six-game winning streak, their latest victory saw Kristaps Porzingis leading the charge against the Memphis Grizzlies with 26 points, eight rebounds, one assist, one steal, and six blocks in 34 minutes.

Looking ahead, after the Hornets, the Celtics will face the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday evening.
