Boston Celtics’ Al Horford won’t be able to participate in the Celtics’ in-season tournament opener against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday due to the need to manage a right knee injury, the team announced.
#NEBHInjuryReport update:
Al Horford (right knee injury management) – OUT
Neemias Queta (right foot injury management) – OUT https://t.co/c1aNiWWepI— Boston Celtics (@celtics) November 10, 2023
Horford had a history of sitting out games during back-to-back sets in the previous season, and he will continue that practice for the first half of the Celtics’ back-to-back games on Friday.
It’s likely that he will return to the court for Saturday’s match against the Toronto Raptors.
The Boston Celtics are looking to reverse their fortunes on the road after suffering two consecutive losses as they prepare to face the Brooklyn Nets tonight.
Regarding the Brooklyn Nets, Ben Simmons (hip) is also unavailable for tonight’s game.
