Today, the Atlanta Hawks made an official announcement regarding the signing of Brandon Randolph as their new guard, as conveyed in a press release.
While the specifics of the contract remain undisclosed by the club, Brad Rowland, known for his insights on Locked On Hawks, reports that it’s a training camp contract without guaranteed terms.
It’s highly probable that this contract includes Exhibit 10 provisions, as is customary for most training camp agreements.
Brandon Randolph, who entered the basketball scene without being selected in the 2019 draft after his college career at Arizona, has predominantly plied his trade in the G League during the past few seasons.
During the previous season, he showcased his talents in 43 regular-season games and Showcase Cup contests, split between the Wisconsin Herd and Austin Spurs.
In these outings, he maintained an impressive statistical record, averaging 14.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 27.7 minutes per game.
Interestingly, the College Park Skyhawks, the G League affiliate of the Atlanta Hawks, acquired Randolph’s playing rights from the Austin team back in August.
This acquisition, coupled with today’s official signing, strongly hints at the Skyhawks’ intention to include him on their roster as a returning rights player for the upcoming fall season.
With this recent addition, Atlanta’s roster now comprises 19 players, just two short of the preseason roster limit.
