The Portland Trail Blazers are set to once again take on the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night, facing a challenge as three of their rotation guards remain sidelined.
Malcolm Brogdon continues his recovery from a left hamstring strain, Scoot Henderson is dealing with a right ankle sprain, and Anfernee Simons is working towards a comeback following right thumb surgery.
Also, big man Robert Williams III is out for the season after undergoing right knee surgery last week.
Rayan Rupert is slated to represent the Rip City Remix against the South Bay Lakers at the Chiles Center, preceding the Blazers’ game at the Moda Center.
However, Justin Minaya, initially assigned to the Remix, seems to have encountered a change in plans according to recent updates and will rejoin the Blazers for tomorrow.
The Lakers, on the other hand, face uncertainties with LeBron James questionable due to a left calf bruise, while Anthony Davis is expected to play despite dealing with a left adductor and hip spasm issue. Jalen Hood-Schifino, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Gabe Vincent will be absent for the Lakers.
