The Portland Trail Blazers have inked a two-way NBA deal with PG Jamaree Bouyea, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Bouyea, who had stints with the Heat and Wizards last season, managed to maintain an impressive record, boasting 18.6 points and 6.2 assists while playing for the G League Sioux Falls.
Portland is set to have an available two-way slot once Skylar Mays is officially promoted to a standard contract, making it likely that Bouyea will step in to fill the void.
Bouyea, who spent a substantial portion of the previous season in the G League, boasted an impressive stat line of 17.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game, with shooting percentages of 55.0% from the field and 32.9% from beyond the arc in 23 regular season matchups.
He also made appearances in 16 Showcase Cup games and participated in three G League playoff contests.
Bouyea had inked a two-way contract with the Miami Heat earlier in the summer, but he was released a few months later, which effectively made him an unrestricted free agent.
The Trail Blazers’ roster will reach its capacity once Mays is elevated and Bouyea is officially added to the team.
