The Boston Celtics have decided to send their rookie, Jordan Walsh, to their G League affiliate, the Maine Celtics, as officially announced on Tuesday.
The Celtics selected Jordan Walsh as the 38th pick in this year’s draft. At 6’7″ tall with an impressive 7’2″ wingspan, Walsh is a fascinating prospect, and Celtics fans are eager to witness his immediate contributions to the team.
Despite an absence from the court during Boston’s initial three games of the 2023-24 regular season, the former University of Arkansas standout displayed glimpses of his promising two-way performance during the preseason.
One notable instance was his performance against the New York Knicks on October 9, where Walsh contributed with four points, seven rebounds, and two steals during his 19 minutes of playing time.
He managed to convert two of his five field-goal attempts in a game that ended in a seven-point loss for the Celtics, with a final score of 114-107.
Jordan Walsh, along with the Maine Celtics, will commence their 2023-24 season by facing the Go-Go on November 10.
