18/06 : Sparks rookie Cameron Brink had to be carried off the court on Tuesday after injuring her knee during a game against the Sun. The team confirmed the knee injury at halftime and announced that she wouldn’t return for the rest of the match, but they didn’t share any more details about the severity.

The incident occurred midway through the first quarter when Brink collided with Sun forward Brionna Jones while driving towards the basket. She planted her leg awkwardly, immediately clutching her left knee as she fell. Though she initially struggled, Brink managed to stand with the assistance of her teammates.

She hobbled to the sidelines but was eventually carried off by trainers once she reached the bench. Brink, the No. 2 pick in April’s WNBA draft from Stanford, had been performing well, averaging 8.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 2.4 blocks, and 1.1 steals per game over 14 games before Tuesday. She also had a shooting percentage of 39.8% from the floor and 32.3% from beyond the arc.
