Award-winning actress, Anne Heche, 53, is currently in critical condition at a hospital in Los Angeles. This comes after she was involved in a horrific car crash on Friday, August 5, 2022.

According to a representative of the actress, Anne Heche accident resulted in several severe injuries for her. The injuries include: third degree burns, fractures, and brain injury. The burns were as a result of the fire the crash started.

It has also been reported and confirmed that the actress was involved in two earlier minor crashes within that hour. However, these two crashes did not leave Heche injured, or have her car damaged. Unfortunately, the third crash was so serious that it sent Heche into coma after arriving at the hospital.

What could be the cause of Anne Heche Accident

On Thursday, a Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) spokesperson told Entertainment Tonight that Heche’s blood sample contains traces of narcotics. Also, police sources told media outlets that cocaine was detected in Heche’s body system.

“Anne Heche is now being investigated for Felony Traffic DUI. Right now, what has been found is a presence of narcotics in her system, however additional testing is required because we have to rule out additional substances administered at the hospital,” the spokesperson said.

In view of these revelations, one can boldly say that Anne Heche accident was as a result of intoxication. The actress was high, and therefore, was carelessly driving his blue mini-cooper.

Crashing a car three times in just 30 minutes, is enough indication that Anne Heche was heavily intoxicated with narcotics.

Meanwhile the family, in a statement on Friday morning, stated that they are not expecting Heche to survive the accident.

In the statement, the family said: “Unfortunately, due to her accident, Anne Heche suffered a severe anoxic brain injury and remains in a coma, in critical condition. She is not expected to survive,” the statement read.
