The 155 points scored by the Celtics in this game marked the second-highest point total in franchise history, only surpassed by their historic 173-point game against the Lakers on February 27, 1959.
Boston’s offensive prowess has been evident early in the season, as they have now tallied 508 points, tying for the second-highest point total through the first four games in franchise history.
Coming off an impressive victory against the Washington Wizards in their previous game, the Celtics continued their winning ways at home, this time against the Pacers.
They wasted no time building a substantial lead, going up by 10 points within the first three minutes, extending it to 20 points during the second quarter, and an impressive 30-point advantage in the third, ultimately securing a massive 53-point win in the fourth.
Derrick White contributed 18 points, and Jaylen Brown added 16 before the Boston starters were able to rest in the late third quarter, with the Celtics holding a commanding 38-point lead.
Sam Hauser and Payton Pritchard made significant contributions off the bench with 17 and 15 points, respectively. T.J. McConnell led the Pacers with 18 points.
