Clippers waive Brodric Thomas, Sign Darling

The Los Angeles Clippers have recently made a minor adjustment to their player roster by waiving Brodric Thomas and reacquiring Nate Darling on an Exhibit 10 deal, as reported by Andrew Greif from the Los Angeles Times.

Thomas had originally signed an Exhibit 10 contract in late September. He had the opportunity to showcase his skills in 44 NBA regular season matchups between 2020 and 2022, representing the Rockets, Cavaliers, and Celtics. During this time, he averaged 3.3 points and 1.4 rebounds in 10.4 minutes per game.

It is expected that Thomas will find himself with the Ontario Clippers, which is the G League affiliate of the Los Angeles team.

Interestingly, he stands to earn a bonus of up to $75,000 if he is released by L.A. and then spends a minimum of 60 days playing with Ontario.

On the other hand, Darling had been previously waived by the Clippers shortly after signing a two-way contract.

His performance in the prior season included 21 games with Ontario, including 11 as a starter, where he averaged an impressive 21.3 points in 31.3 minutes per game.

However, his NBA regular season experience is somewhat limited, consisting of just seven appearances with Charlotte during the 2020/21 season.
