Former Houston Rockets point guard Daishen Nix is set to join the the Minnesota Timberwolves on a one-year deal, reports Shams Charania.
After spending his first two seasons in the league with the Houston Rockets, Nix is now gearing up for a fresh start as he heads to training camp with the Timberwolves.
Despite going undrafted in the 2021 NBA draft, Nix displayed resilience by joining the Philadelphia 76ers for the 2021 NBA Summer League, demonstrating his eagerness to showcase his basketball skills and prove himself.
Subsequently, he found himself with the Houston Rockets, where he seized the chance to exhibit his abilities over the course of two seasons, spanning 81 games.
During his time with the Rockets, the 21-year-old point guard posted respectable averages of 3.7 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists.
His performance in the 2022-23 season alone was marked by a field goal percentage of 34.2%.
The addition of Daishen Nix to the Timberwolves’ roster is an exciting prospect for both the player and the organization.
