Dario Saric to Join Nuggets

Free agent Dario Šarić has secured a two-year, $10.6 million contract with the Denver Nuggets, featuring a player option for the second year, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Saric made $2.7 million last season with the Warriors on a one-year veteran’s minimum deal. He played in 64 games, starting in nine, and averaged 8.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists over 17.2 minutes per game.

With the Nuggets, he’s expected to take on a similar role as they look to add some seasoned players to their lineup following key free agent departures after their 2023 championship win.

His addition might also pave the way for a trade involving forward/center Zeke Nnaji, who is likely to be on the trade block. Nnaji had limited playing time last season, and his four-year, $32 million contract extension kicks in for the 2024/25 season.

Saric, now 30 years old, was the 12th overall pick in the 2014 draft. Before joining Golden State, he played for Philadelphia, Minnesota, Phoenix, and Oklahoma City.
