Denver Nuggets Make Roster Move Ahead Of Sundays’ Matchup

Denver Nuggets have decided to assign their rookie, Hunter Tyson, to the Grand Rapids Gold, their G League affiliate ahead of Sundays’ opener. This move was reported by Harrison Wind of Denver Sports.

Tyson, who was the 37th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, has already seen action in four games for the Denver Nuggets this season.

Before joining the NBA, Tyson played college basketball for Clemson for five seasons. In his final year, he showcased his skills by averaging 15.3 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game.

He was efficient, shooting 47.9% from the field and an impressive 40.5% from beyond the three-point arc in 34 games. It’s expected that Tyson will spend a significant amount of time in the G League this season to gain more playing experience.

As for the Nuggets, their most recent game was against the Golden State Warriors, led by Steph Curry, on their home court in Colorado.

The Nuggets emerged victorious with a final score of 108-105. Nikola Jokic was the standout performer, contributing 35 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, three steals, and a block, shooting 14/25 from the field in 37 minutes of play.

With this win, the Nuggets have an impressive 8-1 record in their first nine games, placing them at the top seed in the Western Conference. They are gearing up for their next game against the Houston Rockets in Texas on Sunday.

On the other hand, the Grand Rapids Gold are preparing for their regular season opener, which is scheduled for Sunday, and they will face the Motor City Cruise.
