Duane Washington Jr joins Phoenix Suns

NBA sensation, Duane Washington Jr., is finally and officially off the free agent market. This was after he signed a two-way contract with the Suns.

Shayaun Saee of One Legacy Sports, the agent of the athlete, announced Duane Washington Jr’s move to the Suns in a statement to  Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The 22-year old Duane who is a son of legendary NBA star, Duane Washington, spent the last season with the Indiana Pacers. He averaged 9.9 points for the Pacers in 48 games last season.

He started playing professional basketball in 2021 after he was picked by the Pacers in the 2021 NBA draft. Subsequently, he signed a two-way deal with the team on August 5, 2021.

On July 14, 2022, Washington was waived by the Pacers, making him a free agent. However, after almost three weeks of being waived; the Suns showed interest and signed the guard.
