Frank Vogel Unveils Booker’s Injury Status, Beal’s Soreness vs Lakers, Ahead of the OKC Game

Frank Vogel, the head coach of the Phoenix Suns, has given an update on Devin Booker’s condition reports Gerald Bourguet of PHX Sports.

According to Vogel, Booker has increased his shooting practice and participated in team drills today, indicating that he’s making progress.

However, he is likely to be listed as doubtful for tomorrow’s game against the Thunder.

Also Vogel mentioned that Bradley Beal was experiencing some “expected soreness” stemming from the previous night’s game vs Lakers but reassured that he’s in good shape.

Booker has only made two appearances this season due to various lower body injuries. His most recent setback was a calf strain suffered last week against the San Antonio Spurs.

Before that, he had sprained his ankle in the season-opening victory against the Golden State Warriors and also dealt with a toe injury during preseason play.

In the two games he has played so far, Booker has averaged an impressive 31.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 10.5 assists.

The Suns recently suffered their first loss in an in-season tournament game to the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday.

Despite that, Suns (4-5) are aiming to bounce back against the Thunder in regular season play, with a 4-4 record to start their year.

The Thunder have a winless record of (0-4) against Western Conference teams this early season, which could potentially serve as a favorable factor for the Suns as they approach Sunday’s game.
