Grayson Allen Upgraded to Game-Time Decision for Friday vs Timberwolves

6:30 PM : Allen has been ruled out for Friday’s game, as per the team’s announcement, despite being considered a game-time decision earlier. His next opportunity to suit up will be on Sunday.

6:05 PM : On Friday night, the Phoenix Suns will welcome the Minnesota Timberwolves to Arizona for the third game of their playoff showdown.

Expect to see Grayson Allen back in action for the Suns, as he’s moved up from questionable to game-time decision for this matchup, Head coach Frank Vogel confirms. In the game 2, Allen contributed three points, three rebounds, and a steal while making 1 out of 2 three-point attempts in 17 minutes of play.

Throughout the regular season, Allen showcased his skills with averages of 13.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game, boasting impressive shooting percentages of 49.9% from the field and 46.1% from beyond the arc across 75 games.

Despite being the sixth seed in the Western Conference with a 49-33 record, the Suns find themselves trailing 0-2 in the series after dropping both games at the Target Center in Minnesota. In the previous encounter, the Timberwolves secured a 105-93 victory over the Suns.

Jaden McDaniels led the charge for the Timberwolves in Game 2, notching 25 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and a steal while shooting 10 for 17 from the field and 2 for 4 from three-point range in 41 minutes of action.

With their backs against the wall, the Suns are gearing up for this game with the intensity typically reserved for NBA finals. A loss here would deal a significant blow to their playoff aspirations and chances of advancing to the next round. Game 4 is scheduled for Sunday evening, also in Arizona.
