Grizzlies Sign Cam Spencer to Two-Way Contract

The Memphis Grizzlies have signed Cam Spencer to a two-way contract, according to the team’s PR department via X.

He fills the last remaining two-way slot on the team. Scotty Pippen Jr. and Trey Jemison already occupy the other two-way spots.

Spencer was part of a trade involving the Pistons, Timberwolves, Raptors, and the Grizzlies. He played a pivotal role in UConn winning their second consecutive national championship after transferring from Rutgers.

Last season, Spencer, who was the 53rd pick in the draft, started all 40 games for UConn, averaging 14.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.5 steals per game in 32.8 minutes.

The 24-year-old was named First Team All-Big East and shot 48.4% from the field, 44.0% from beyond the arc, and an impressive 91.1% from the free throw line.
