Hornets Eyes Brock Aller For Front Office Role

The new Charlotte Hornets president of basketball operations, Jeff Peterson, is expanding his front office team.

According to Ian Begley, one individual catching Peterson’s attention is Brock Aller, a current executive with the New York Knicks, where he serves as the vice president of basketball and strategic planning.

Aller was one of the initial hires made by Knicks president Leon Rose when he assumed control of the team’s front office.

Known for his expertise in managing the salary cap and negotiating favorable contracts for teams, Aller is highly regarded in the NBA. Whether he’ll depart from New York remains uncertain, as the Knicks are likely to make efforts to retain him.

In coaching news, JJ Redick and Charles Lee, the lead assistant for the Celtics, are emerging as the top contenders for the Hornets’ head coaching position.

Redick, who has expressed a strong interest in transitioning into coaching, and Lee are expected to undergo second interviews with the Charlotte front office soon to finalize the decision, as noted by Evan Sidery.
