Hornets to Sign Former Jazz Assistant Coach Lamar Skeeter

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Charlotte Hornets are bringing on board Utah Jazz assistant Lamar Skeeter as the top assistant for new head coach Charles Lee’s coaching team.

Skeeter has been with the Jazz for quite a while, joining as an assistant coach under Quin Snyder back in the 2014-15 season, making him one of the team’s longest-serving staff members.

Before his time with the Jazz, Skeeter worked as an assistant under Mike Budenholzer with the Atlanta Hawks and was part of Alex Jensen’s coaching crew with the Canton Charge in the NBA D-League.

During his college days, Skeeter played basketball at Walsh University in Ohio. Last summer, the Jazz expanded Will Hardy’s coaching team, welcoming Chad Forcier, Rick Higgins, Scott Morrison, and Mike Williams.
