Ahead of the upcoming Saints game, the Indianapolis Colts have executed a series of roster adjustments today, the team announced.
Among these alterations, defensive tackle McTelvin Agim and cornerback Chris Lammons were promoted from the practice squad to the active roster for the Sunday match against the New Orleans Saints.
Agim, a robust figure standing at 6-3 and weighing 300 pounds, has been stationed on the practice squad throughout the season.
Over his career, he has taken part in 17 games, accumulating a stat line of 12 tackles, with four of them being solo, 1.0 tackle for loss, 1.5 sacks, and two passes defensed.
It’s worth noting that he was initially drafted by Denver in the third round (95th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft from Arkansas, with his last name pronounced as UH-geem.
Meanwhile, Chris Lammons, a more compact athlete at 5-10 and 190 pounds, has also been on the practice squad radar this season, having originally inked a deal with the Colts as a free agent on July 27, 2023.
His track record showcases 18 tackles, nine of them solo, three passes defensed, one interception, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and eight contributions on special teams.
Additionally, he’s seen action in three postseason contests, notching two special teams tackles.
Keep an eye on Agim this Sunday, given the limited choices available to replace Stewart.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Agim assumes a more substantial role than the usual practice squad promotion this week.
I anticipate the Colts will innovate in their defensive line personnel.
