Jackie Walorski, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Indiana’s 2nd district, has died in a car crash. She served as a member of the Indiana House of Representatives from 2005 until November 2010.
The politician, 58, was a member of the Republican party, and run for political offices on the ticket of the party since 2004. It is not clear if Jackie Walorski children (if there are any) are also members of the Republican party.
Walorski moved to Romania in 2000 where she founded Impact International, a foundation to provide medical supplies and attention to impoverished children. She, together with her husband, Dean Swihart, did missionary works in Romania before returning to the U.S. in 2004. Soon after returning, Jackie started venturing into active politics.
On August 3, 2022, Walorski died in an auto crash. This was after a vehicle veered off the road and crashed into her vehicle. The unfortunate incident happened near the intersection with State Road 119, in a location closer to Nappanee, Indiana. Three others, including Jackie’s two aides, also died in the accident.
