The New York Liberty has signed guard Jaylyn Sherrod to a seven-day contract, the team announced on Saturday .
Sherrod, a 5-foot-7 point guard and University of Colorado alumna, returns to the team after participating in their 2024 training camp as an undrafted signee.
In her two preseason games with the Liberty, she averaged 6.0 points on 57% shooting and recorded two steals in each contest.
During her college career, Sherrod averaged 10.6 points, 4.6 assists, 2.0 steals, and 3.1 rebounds per game.
She is notable for being the third player in Colorado’s history to surpass 1,000 points (1,483) and 600 assists (645), and she ranks second in all-time assists for the program.
Jaylyn will be assigned the No.0 thread, if she’s able to suit up today against the Indians Fever.
