The Utah Jazz have officially exercised the 2024/25 options on the rookie scale contracts of guard Ochai Agbaji and center Walker Kessler, as confirmed in an announcement from the team.
This decision was largely expected, considering the importance of these two young players to the team.
Agbaji, who was selected as the 14th pick in last year’s draft, is set to earn $4,310,280 for the upcoming season.
On the other hand, Kessler, who established himself as the starting center for Utah and a defensive standout after being chosen as the 22nd overall pick in the same draft, will receive $2,965,920 in his third season.
In his debut season, Agbaji participated in 59 games, posting averages of 7.9 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.1 assists while playing 20.5 minutes per game.
Kessler, who received recognition as an All-NBA Rookie First Team member, recorded averages of 9.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks across 74 games.
