Johnny Davis Sidelined for Two Weeks with Elbow Sprain

During Sunday’s practice, Wizards’ guard Johnny Davis suffered a sprained left elbow, and the team has announced that he is expected to be sidelined for two weeks.

Despite the Washington team’s youthful roster, Davis hasn’t managed to establish a significant role in his two preseason appearances.

This injury adds to a string of durability problems for the 2022 lottery pick, and it’s possible that he may lose ground to players like Ryan Rollins or Jared Butler.

The team has also announced that they will take a conservative approach to treating the injury. Davis’s return to play will be assessed weekly through clinical and functional tests.

As a result, Davis will be absent from the next two preseason games against the New York Knicks and the Toronto Raptors, and he is likely to miss the Wizards’ season opener against the Indiana Pacers.
