Kelly Oubre Could Make a Return To 76ers’ Lineup in a Week – Nurse

Philadelphia 76ers forward Kelly Oubre is making progress in his recovery from a hit-and-run accident that occurred while he was walking. 76ers coach Nick Nurse has shared an update, noting Oubre’s return to practice on Monday and the plan for a reevaluation in a week.

“I think getting him moving was the first step,” Nurse said. “Getting him into some contact and things is the next step. I think after [Tuesday] we’ll have a little better read on the timeline.”

Nurse also added that Oubre could return to the lineup in a week as noted by Keith Pompey of Philly inquirer.

Oubre suffered broken ribs in the hit-and-run incident and has been replaced in the starting lineup by Nicolas Batum since then. However, once he is fully recovered, Oubre is expected to reclaim his starting spot.

Here is a timeline of Oubre’s recovery:

Monday: Oubre returned to practice.

One week from now: Oubre will be reevaluated.

One week from now: Oubre could return to the lineup.

It is important to note that this is just a timeline and Oubre’s recovery could take longer or shorter than expected.
