Lakers Injury Report: Hood-Schifino and Vanderbilt Sidelined for Season Opener

For the upcoming regular-season opener against Denver Nuggets, the Los Angeles Lakers will be without Hood-Schifino, who’s dealing with a knee issue, and Vanderbilt, who has a heel injury. This update comes from ESPN’s Jake McMenamin.

Vanderbilt’s condition hasn’t shown much improvement recently, and coach Darvin Ham revealed on Saturday that Taurean Prince would be the starter for Tuesday’s game.

Although Vanderbilt is practicing in a limited capacity, it suggests that his return might be on the horizon.

Hood-Schifino had a collision with an opponent, causing a knee problem during a preseason game on October 13.

Strangely, there hasn’t been any specific information about his injury, but there’s a chance he could make a comeback for the game against Phoenix on Thursday.
