Lakers to Honor Former Players, Patrick Beverly and Russell Westbrook, with Championship Rings

The Los Angeles Lakers will be hoping to add another championship to their extensive list of accomplishments as the NBA playoffs approaches the final phase. In a surprising move, Lakers management announced that former players Patrick Beverly and Russell Westbrook would also receive championship rings if the Lakers win the championship.

The Lakers’ gesture recognizes Beverly and Westbrook’s contributions to the team during their individual tenures with the franchise.  Beverly played with the Lakers from 2011 to 2012 before being waived, and Westbrook played for them from 2021 to 2022 before being traded to the Washington Wizards.
