On Monday, August 15, 2022, the NBA announced that it will open the “NBA Park”, the league’s biggest fan destination, in Brazil.
According to the NBA in a press statement; the NBA Park Brazil will be opened to the public in November this year. The statement added that the NBA Park will be the league’s biggest destination of fans in the world.
The park was constructed by the NBA in collaboration with Nacional Parque Basquete Brasil, Brazil’s largest operator of entertainment attractions and theme parks.
Situated at Avenida das Hydrangeas in Gamado, the NBA Park Brazil is a 3-storey story building that has a size of over 4,000 meter square.
“Opening the largest NBA fan destination in the world in Gramado speaks to the momentum for basketball in Brazil and our commitment to providing our passionate fans across the country with unique experiences,” NBA’s Latin America Licensing and Retail Vice President, Sergio Perrella, said in a statement he made.

Perrella continued that; “We can’t wait to welcome fans and families to this first-of-its-kind immersive basketball destination where they will be able to celebrate their love of the game in new and creative ways.”
The CEO of the Nacional Parque Basquete Brasil, Jonas Ortiz, also had this to say: “The NBA transcends the game of basketball across fashion, lifestyle and pop culture, and NBA Park will bring these themes to life.”
“Gramado is a renowned tourist destination, and we look forward to delivering incredible life-long memories for generations of NBA fans for years to come,” Ortiz added
Meanwhile, the NBA Park Brazil will be hosting NBA activities, virtual reality experiences, an NBA Store and NBA-themed restaurant, photo opportunities and more. NBA Park will also showcase authentic NBA memorabilia and exclusive NBA-inspired art in celebration of the league’s history.
