The Oklahoma City Thunder have enacted a roster adjustment, officially announcing on Monday that they’ve sent second-year forward Ousmane Dieng to join the OKC Blue in the G League.
This move coincides with an upcoming game for the Blue against the Memphis Hustle on Monday, affording Dieng the opportunity for additional practice and skill retention.
Despite his limited court time with the Thunder, the 20-year-old Dieng is in a continuous development phase. This stint in the G League is likely to grant him extended playing time against less challenging opponents.
In the current season, Dieng has made 11 appearances with the Thunder, posting averages of 3.6 points and 2.0 rebounds in 11.3 minutes of play.
Following a brief two-game road trip that concluded with a victory over the Phoenix Suns on Sunday, the Thunder will return to OKC.
