9:14 PM : 76ers guard Kelly Oubre Jr. was walking near his residence when he was hit by a motor vehicle in Center City, Philadelphia tonight.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, he is currently receiving medical care at a nearby hospital and is reported to be in a stable condition.
Team representatives, including 76ers President Daryl Morey, are currently at the hospital with Kelly Oubre Jr.
While he is anticipated to be sidelined for an extended period because of his injuries, they are not believed to be season-ending. Local authorities are conducting an investigation into the incident, as reported by Woj.
Kelly Oubre made a one-year move to the Philadelphia 76ers from the Charlotte Hornets back in September.
He has been performing exceptionally well in his ninth NBA season, averaging 16.3 points and maintaining a 50 percent shooting accuracy for the Sixers this season.
The Philadelphia 76ers have a home game scheduled for Sunday, where they will face off against the Indiana Pacers.
