According to the NBA.com transactions log, the New Orleans Pelicans have waived five players.
Among them, guards Izaiah Brockington, Jalen Crutcher, and Tevian Jones, along with forward Malcolm Hill and center Trey Jemison, all held Exhibit 10 contracts.
It appears they might find themselves donning the jersey of the Birmingham Squadron, the team’s G League affiliate. Should they clock in a substantial 60 days with the G League squad, they stand to earn impressive bonuses amounting to as much as $75,000.
Of this quintet, Jemison was the one who graced the preseason court the most, participating in four games and delivering an average of 4.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per contest.
As for Crutcher and Hill, they managed to step onto the court in two games each, while Brockington and Jones had more limited opportunities with only one game apiece.
This series of transactions has now left the New Orleans squad with a roster consisting of 13 players who boast fully guaranteed contracts, in addition to the non-guaranteed agreement of Jose Alvarado.
Furthermore, it’s worth noting that the Pelicans still have two of their three two-way player slots available for potential additions.
