The Detroit Pistons have officially announced that Bojan Bogdanovic, Isaiah Livers, and Monte Morris will all be sidelined due to injuries, with each of them facing a minimum three-week absence.
Bojan Bogdanovic, who is currently dealing with a right calf strain, will undergo a reevaluation after a period of four weeks.
Monte Morris, meanwhile, is contending with a right quad strain and is set to be reevaluated in three weeks. The team clarified that Morris’ quad injury occurred during his recovery from back soreness.
Isaiah Livers, who unfortunately suffered a Grade III left ankle sprain, will also be reevaluated, and this assessment is slated for four weeks from now.
Bogdanovic’s unavailability on the court is expected to prompt alterations in the team’s starting lineup, particularly since he typically fulfills the role of the starting small forward.
As for Morris, who was acquired from Washington through a trade, his contribution as a key player off the bench is eagerly awaited.
Furthermore, Killian Hayes, who has been struggling with a left knee sprain, successfully completed a full practice session this Sunday, following his absence from the preseason finale last Friday.
It is possible that he might step into the starting lineup in place of Bogdanovic.
Certainly, this development is undoubtedly a major setback for the Pistons, given that they’re now missing three of their most proficient shooters and two seasoned players right at the beginning of the season.
It’s worth noting that all three of these athletes were absent throughout the training camp and preseason games.
Looking ahead, the Pistons are gearing up to take on the Miami Heat in their season opener.
