The Detroit Pistons are promoting Stanley Umude from a two-way contract to a standard two-year deal, as reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Additionally, they’re adding Tosan Evbuomwan on a two-way contract, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Evbuomwan, an undrafted rookie from Princeton, recently signed a 10-day contract with Detroit before the All-Star break and will now stay with the team under a flexible deal allowing movement between the G League and the main roster.
In his debut against the Suns on Feb. 14, he contributed five points, two rebounds, and a steal in eight minutes.

Umude, standing at 6-foot-6, played 17 games in his second NBA season after securing a two-way deal with Detroit last October.
He posted NBA career averages of 5.1 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 0.5 assists, with shooting percentages of 48 percent from the field and 55 percent from beyond the arc.
Charania also noted that Umude is averaging 17 points per game for the Motor City Cruise, the Pistons’ G League affiliate.
These roster adjustments reflect Detroit’s ongoing rebuild strategy, suggesting further changes in the post-break phase of the season.
While specifics of Umude’s contract weren’t disclosed, it’s likely guaranteed for the remainder of the season with a team option for the following year.
