Precious Achiuwa, OG Anunoby, and Christian Koloko find themselves sidelined with injuries as Toronto prepares to face the Portland Trail Blazers this coming Monday.
Achiuwa is listed doubtful for tomorrow’s game against the Trail Blazers due to a left groin strain he sustained during Raptors’ home opener against the Sixers, as reported by Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.
He had to exit the game early due to significant left groin tightness, which kept him sidelined for the remainder of the match.
In the same game against the Sixers, he contributed six points (3-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt), seven rebounds, three assists, and a block in 18 minutes off the bench.
OG Anunoby, who was initially listed as available but later downgraded to OUT for the game against the Sixers on Friday night, is now listed as questionable for the upcoming matchup against the Trail Blazers on Monday.
In his absence, Gary Trent took on a more prominent role in the last game. For the upcoming contest against the Blazers, potential candidates for extended playing time include Gary Trent, Gradey Dick, and Jalen McDaniels.
Christian Koloko remains sidelined, and there is no defined timeline for his return. Koloko’s absence persists due to respiratory concerns.
Meanwhile, the Trail Blazers are set to miss Anfernee Simons for a substantial four to six weeks due to a UCL tear in his right thumb. Additionally, former Raptors and Suns forward Ish Wainwright is sidelined, contending with a right calf strain.
The game is slated to commence at 7:30 p.m. ET at Scotiabank Arena.
