Rudy Gobert to Miss Game 2 vs Nuggets

Rudy Gobert won’t be playing in Game 2 of the Timberwolves’ series against the Nuggets. Coach Chris Finch explained to the media before the game that Gobert couldn’t make it to Denver, partly because of bad weather causing flight delays.

Gobert had to leave the team after Game 1 because his first child was born. Earlier in the day, it was uncertain if he would play. Gobert, who is expected to win the Defensive Player of the Year award, had a good performance in Game 1 with six points, 13 rebounds, three assists, and three blocks.

Without him, the Timberwolves will rely on Naz Reid to go against Nikola Jokic. Reid scored 16 points coming off the bench in Game 1.
