Sacramento Kings Sign Jordan Ford to Training Camp Deal

The Sacramento Kings are shaking up their roster, making an intriguing addition after waiving centers Nerlens Noel and Neemias Queta.

According to a report by Sean Cunningham, the Kings have signed former Folsom High School star Jordan Ford to a training camp deal, marking a homecoming for the talented player.

Jordan Ford’s journey to the Kings is a testament to his resilience. He was on Sacramento’s camp roster last season but was waived in mid-October.

Despite going undrafted out of St. Mary’s College in 2020, Ford continued to chase his NBA dreams.

Last season, Ford showcased his skills with the G League’s Stockton Kings, starting in 32 games.

He averaged an impressive 14.7 points and 4.6 assists in just over 26 minutes per game, demonstrating his ability to make an impact on the court.

Ford’s connection with the Sacramento Kings extends beyond the G League, as he also appeared in six Summer League games for the team.

During these games, he averaged 14.2 points and 5.0 assists in nearly 28 minutes of play, further solidifying his potential as a valuable asset.

One intriguing aspect of Jordan Ford’s contract is the bonus opportunity. If he is waived before the start of the 2023-24 season, Ford could earn a bonus of up to $75,000 if he spends at least 60 days with the Stockton Kings, the Kings’ G League affiliate.

Additionally, there is the possibility of his contract being converted to a two-way deal, offering flexibility for both Ford and the Kings.
