The Sacramento Kings have waived both center Chance Comanche and wing Deonte Burton, as reported by James Ham of The Kings Beat.
It’s anticipated that if these players clear waivers, they will likely join the Stockton Kings.
Both Comanche and Burton signed Exhibit 10 contracts, which means they could be eligible for a bonus of up to $75K if they spend a minimum of 60 days with Stockton.
Both players have three or more years of experience in the G League, and both had some time in Stockton last season.
Comanche’s association with the Kings began on September 21, and he posted solid stats with 12.9 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks across 43 regular season and Showcase Cup games with Stockton last season.
His impressive performance in the G League earned him a brief stint with the Trail Blazers on a 10-day contract in April, during which he contributed seven points and three boards in a single appearance.
Unfortunately, he didn’t participate in any preseason games with Sacramento this season.
On the other hand, Burton joined the Kings on September 23 and had an average of 11.5 points in 33 appearances with the Stockton Kings last season.
In his 73 NBA career games, he holds averages of 2.5 points and 1.2 rebounds. Burton also earned a 10-day contract with the Kings thanks to his G League play last season, although he only played in two games without recording any stats.
He did, however, make an appearance in one preseason game with Sacramento this year.
With the waiver of Comanche and Burton, the Kings’ roster now consists of 18 players, with Jaylen Nowell being the only Exhibit 10 player currently signed on the roster.
Sacramento has one available spot for its 15-man regular season roster, raising the possibility that the Kings might be considering Nowell for that position.
It’s likely that the Kings will continue to explore more Exhibit 10 players in the days to come.
