In the past, Shaq once said he needed to have a surgery to correct a problem with his hip.
In his podcast The Big Podcast on TNT, he told his co-host, Candace Parker, a former WNBA player, that “I don’t know, if I tried, I probably could dunk, I just probably can’t land. And landing as you get older, it gets harder and harder.” This was Shaq’s answer when he was asked by Parker if he could still dunk.
However, the legend’s answer prompted a co-host, Nischelle Turner
This prompted co-host Nischelle Turner to bring a video of Shaq and one of his sons dunking at the gym.
Shaq, after watching the video said, that the dunking video was taken a year ago, but now that he’s faced some health problems, he revealed “You know, my hip and I gotta get surgery.”
In addition, current and past basketball players suffer certain hip injuries that are common among basketball players. But in Shaq’s case, the type of hip injury was not disclosed.
