Sparks to Sign Crystal Dangerfield to a 7-Day Contract

The Los Angeles Sparks announced today that they have signed guard Crystal Dangerfield to a 7-day hardship contract. Dangerfield was recently released by the Atlanta Dream.

In 2020, Dangerfield was named WNBA Rookie of the Year while playing for the Minnesota Lynx, with an outstanding debut season where she averaged 16.2 points and 3.6 assists per game.

However, her performance has been inconsistent since then, with her averages dropping to 7.7 points and 2.8 assists per game in the following seasons.

During her short time with the Dream, she played 15 games, averaging 5.3 points, 1.7 assists, and 1.2 rebounds per game.

Before joining the Sparks, Dangerfield had stints with the Atlanta Dream, Indiana Fever, New York Liberty, and Dallas Wings. Over her career, she has averaged 8.7 points, 3 assists, and 2.2 rebounds per game in 120 games.
