Timberwolves’ Jaden McDaniels to Miss 2-3 Weeks

Forward Jaden McDaniels of the Minnesota Timberwolves suffered a Grade 1 right ankle sprain during their game against the New York Knicks on Monday night and is expected to return in 2-3 weeks, according to the team.

McDaniels injured his ankle after stepping on Karl-Anthony Towns’ foot, and had to be taken off the court just four and a half minutes into the game.

Alexander-Walker, who replaced McDaniels in the starting lineup when he missed the beginning of the season due to a calf injury, is expected to fill in for McDaniels during his absence.

However, Troy Brown and Naz Reid are also potential candidates for increased playing time until McDaniels returns.
