The Trail Blazers have inked a two-way contract with the towering 7-footer Ibou Badji, as per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. This move swiftly follows the waiver of Jamaree Bouyea earlier today.
Badji, who had previously secured a two-way deal with Portland last November, underwent knee surgery in March without making an NBA appearance.
Despite being waived in October after a subsequent contract, the 7-foot-1 center is making a comeback after the Blazers released Bouyea, reopening one of their two-way spots.
On another note, there’s anticipation around Scoot Henderson’s return for the Blazers. Henderson, dealing with an ankle sprain since November 1, is now listed as questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Utah Jazz.
Following a stint in the G League for conditioning, Henderson’s potential return, even with possible restrictions initially, signals a promising development after missing nine games due to the ankle injury.
