University of Ghana is Set to Dismiss Students With CGPA Below 1.0

The University of Ghana is currently implementing a policy in which students in Levels 200 and 300 with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) below 1.0 will be dismissed, in accordance with the University Regulations for Junior Members (2017).

Students belonging to the following colleges, namely the College of Basic and Applied Sciences, the College of Education, and the College of Humanities, will soon receive their withdrawal letters if they fall under this criterion.

It’s important to note that the minimum CGPA requirement for the aforementioned colleges is currently set at 1.00.

To address this situation, students in both Level 200 and Level 300 are advised to assess their academic performance by accessing their online provisional transcripts through the MISWeb system.

Students who have completed all their registered courses for the 2022/2023 academic year and have obtained a CGPA below the specified minimum (1.0) for their respective college should anticipate receiving official withdrawal notifications from the University via their Official UG email addresses.

For those students who have already paid their tuition fees for the upcoming 2023/2024 and do not meet the university’s minimum GPA requirements, thus making them subject to withdrawal, can be confident that a refund will be processed upon their request.

Kindly note that there will be a separate notice forthcoming for students in the College of Health Sciences. You can find the complete document below for further details.
