Tyler Herro exited tonight’s matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies due to a right ankle sprain, with Dru Smith stepping in for him with just 55 seconds left in the first quarter.

The Miami Heat’s latest update indicates that Herro will not return to the game. Before leaving the court, Herro contributed 6 points, a rebound, and an assist.
Herro now joins the Heat’s growing list of injured players, including Caleb Martin (knee), Nikola Jovic (illness), Jamal Cain (illness), Cole Swider (G League), and RJ Hampton (G League).
In Herro’s absence, Josh Richardson and Duncan Robinson are expected to see increased playing time. As for Herro’s availability for Saturday’s matchup against Atlanta, it remains uncertain.
