OKC Thunder Make Two Roster Moves Ahead of Final Regular Season Matches

On Friday, the Oklahoma City Thunder announced the recall of Lindy Waters III and Ousmane Dieng from their G League affiliate, the OKC Blue, as reported by Rylan Stiles of FanSided.com.

Waters III, who has been with the Thunder for three seasons, mostly on two-way contracts, has been averaging 3.3 points in 36 games this season.

Dieng showcased an impressive performance in Game 2 of the G League Championship, contributing 12 points, seven rebounds, four assists, three blocks, and a steal to help the Blue secure a victory against the Maine Celtics on Thursday.

Despite Game 3 of the G League Finals not taking place until Monday, Dieng will join the main Thunder squad for the final week of the NBA regular season. He has appeared in just 13 games for the Thunder since the beginning of the year, with averages of 3.2 points and 1.6 rebounds in 10.8 minutes per game.

The Thunder will conclude their season with two games on Friday and Sunday, while the OKC Blue will compete for the G League Championship on Monday night. After the NBA regular season ends, Waters and Dieng will reunite with the Blue.

With a record of 55-25, the Thunder are striving to secure a top seed in the playoffs as they continue their four-game homestand. Their upcoming opponents are the Milwaukee Bucks (49-31), who may be without their top two players, Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

This marks the final game of the season between the Thunder and the Bucks. In their previous encounter, OKC suffered a significant loss to Milwaukee on March 24.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT.
