Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center, Olivier Sarr, suffered a left Achilles tendon rupture during Game 3 of the G League Finals on Monday night against Maine Celtics.

The injury occurred during a collision while he was going after a rebound, leading to him being carried off the court. According to the team’s PR, a timeline for Sarr’s return will be provided in the coming months.

During the current season, Sarr played 15 games with the Thunder, averaging 2.3 points on 56.0% shooting and 2.4 rebounds in 6.5 minutes per game.

Additionally, he participated in 18 games with the Blue, averaging 14.0 points, 13.1 rebounds (which ranked second in the G League), and 2.3 blocks in 28 minutes per game. His contributions helped the Blue secure their first-ever NBA G League Championship.

The Thunder will begin their playoff campaign against the winner of the Sacramento Kings and New Orleans Pelicans, who will compete for a playoff spot this Friday in the Play-In.
