Porzingis Returns to Training Following Foot Injury, Prepping for Training Camp

Kristaps Porzingis appears to have successfully overcome his foot injury, as he has already commenced his training regimen in preparation for the upcoming training camp and the season ahead 

Arriving in Boston just this past Wednesday, he wasted no time and immediately immersed himself in his preparations for the upcoming season.

Despite missing Latvia’s World Cup campaign due to the challenges posed by plantar fasciitis, Porzingis exhibited remarkable dedication by remaining with his team in the Philippines, providing invaluable support.

In his quest to prepare for the training camp, he has engaged in low-impact on-court activities, gradually intensifying his efforts.

Porzingis, the team’s splashy offseason acquisition, arrived in Boston Wednesday. Porzingis missed Latvia’s World Cup appearance because of plantar fasciitis but stayed with the team in the Philippines for support, the site wrote.

Kristaps Porzingis, a standout center from the Washington Wizards, made his way to Boston as part of a complex three-team trade that also featured the Memphis Grizzlies.

This significant trade, officially announced on June 24, 2023, involved the transfer of Marcus Smart to the Grizzlies, Tyus Jones to the Wizards, and a bundle of valuable draft picks to the Celtics.

During the previous season, Porzingis achieved a career milestone by averaging an impressive 23.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.5 blocks per game while donning the Wizards’ jersey.
